UP Police constable recruitment reexamination date notice is fake, UPPRPB issues alert


The written examination was organized by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) on 17 and 18 February for 48 lakh candidates who had applied for recruitment to more than 60 thousand constable posts in Uttar Pradesh Police. However, due to allegations of paper leak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had recently announced the cancellation of this examination and re-conducting it within 6 months on 24 February 2024. Since then, many fake news regarding the new date of this examination are going viral on social media.

One such fake notice is going viral on social media in which false claims are being made that the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination will now be conducted on 20th and 21st June 2024. However, now UPPRPB has issued a clarification calling the notice fake. According to the update released by the board today i.e. Thursday, 29 February 2024, “Fake letter is being made viral regarding the written examination of Reserve Recruitment-23. No such letter/information has been issued by the Board. Information related to the examination will be published along with the release on the board’s website, uppbpb.gov.in and official X handle @Upprpb.

In such a situation, UPPRPB has advised lakhs of candidates preparing for UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination 2024 not to believe the claims of any kind of fake news or notice going viral on social media. The board has asked the candidates to trust only the updates published on the official website and official X handle @Upprpb.
