UP Board: Those who try to leak papers will go to jail, these special arrangements will be made for cheating free examination

: Uttar Pradesh Board examinations will be conducted from tomorrow i.e. from 22nd February. Tight security arrangements have been made by the Yogi government regarding the examination. At the same time, those who try to leak the paper will also be sent to jail. Apart from this, those who solve the question paper before the end of the paper and make it viral through social media or other means will also be sent to jail.

The Yogi government has made strict arrangements to conduct the board examinations starting in the state from Thursday, 22nd February, without cheating and with cleanliness. From WhatsApp to social media, unruly elements are being monitored. If an attempt is made to transmit any question paper or any part of that subject through WhatsApp or social media or any other medium before the completion of the examination of any subject, then strictest action will be taken under the relevant sections of the law. Sensitive and highly sensitive examination centers and districts have been identified by the Board of Secondary Education and special monitoring has been done through STF and local notification unit to prevent any untoward incident.

Process of opening the question papers will be done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras-

To curb the possibilities of cheating, the process of opening the question papers will be done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and armed forces and live CCTV cameras will be used for 24-hour surveillance at the compilation centers and strong rooms. Arrangements have been made. The strong room will be inspected by the mobile team in the morning. The district administration has been instructed to take all other precautionary measures including implementing Section 144 under the Code of Criminal Procedure within a radius of 100 meters around the examination centers and if necessary, outside it as well.

Board examinations will be completed in 12 working days-

Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Education Deepak Kumar gave information regarding the board examinations in the auditorium of Lok Bhavan on Wednesday. He said that in the year 2024, the board examinations will be conducted in a total of 12 working days. Before the year 2017, it used to take more than a month to conduct these examinations. 1571184 high school boys and 1376127 girl students (total - 29,47,311) and 1428323 intermediate school students and 1149676 girl students (total - 25,77,997) will appear in the board examination.

A total of 55,25,308 candidates will appear for the exam.

Out of the total 55,25,308 candidates, 5360745 are institutional candidates and 164563 are individual candidates. He said that due to effective prevention of cheating, 164563 students have been registered as individual candidates in the year 2024, whereas in 2017 this number was 3,53,106. Under this, instead of 1,50,209 candidates who registered from other states in 2017, the number of candidates from other states and other boards has reduced to only 4905 in the year 2024.

Determination of examination centers was done online through software-

He said that the determination of examination centers by the present government was done online through software, making full use of their holding capacities. Before 2017, more than 12 thousand centers were formed, but due to the online center determination system, fewer examination centers were formed (8265 in the year 2024 examination), which made their supervision and inspection easier. He said that the process adopted in the past years has been further strengthened to make the board exams fair and free from cheating. At the state level, command and control centers have been established in the Directorate of Secondary Education, Lucknow, as well as in Vidya Samiksha Kendra, Lucknow and Council Headquarters, Prayagraj and 05 regional offices, through which live monitoring of all the examination centers and district level control and monitoring centers of the state can be done. Monitoring will be done.

Live monitoring will also be done along with helpline numbers-

Additional Chief Secretary said that for quick redressal of complaints of candidates and general public, 2 helpline numbers (1800 180 6607/8) and 2 helpline numbers for resolving queries of candidates and for psychological counseling. (1800 180 5310/12) have also been established. Similarly, command and control centre, helpline and other arrangements have been made at the district level also. Through these, live monitoring of all the examination centers of the district will be done. An administrative officer nominated by the District Magistrate has been deployed to operate the District Control Centre.

The examination will be held at 8265 examination centres-

Arrangements are also being made to take action under the relevant rules against the room inspectors and personnel who remain absent from their duty to perform other tasks in the board examination. It is noteworthy that high school and intermediate institutional and individual examinations are being conducted between February 22 and March 9 at 8265 examination centers in the state. By coordinating with various departments, to provide transportation facilities to the students, board examination special buses, uninterrupted power supply during the examination period, cleanliness and sanitization of the examination centers and surrounding areas, arrangements for emergency first aid to the candidates and examination personnel. is also being done.

This will be the first time-

For the first time, all the center administrators have been trained on various aspects of the system regarding maintenance of question papers and examination conduct and to clarify to the external center administrators and static magistrates their responsibilities for examination conduct.

For the first time, computerized identity cards containing secure QR code and serial number have been issued to about 3.11 lakh room invigilators deployed in the examination halls.

For the first time, apart from the QR code, serial number and logo on the cover page of the answer sheets, the Council's logo on the inner page as well as the page number on each page along with stitched answer sheets in four different colors have been printed.

For the first time, a Quick Response Team (QRT) has been constituted which will monitor and take prompt action against efforts to mislead the general public and tarnish the image of the government by spreading misleading news on social media.
