Maharashtra Government Teacher Bharti 2024: Maharashtra School Education Department has announced the recruitment of teachers for 21,678 posts in Zilla Parishad (JDP), Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and private run schools in 1258 schools across the state. Information in this regard has been shared by the office of Maharashtra Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare on Monday. Pavitra portal has been launched to ensure transparency in the recruitment process. Candidates will be able to apply through this portal.

The information shared by the office said that the posts under reservation were finalized by November 2023. However, the process was delayed due to questions raised over the recruitment drive during the assembly sessions. At the same time, as soon as the recruitment process was started, the recruitment campaign is being started for 80 percent of the appointments.
At the same time, teachers are also happy with the start of this recruitment process. “It is after many years that the government has announced teacher recruitment to such a large number of posts through the Pavitra portal,” said a teacher.
According to the circular, 239730 candidates had registered for the Teachers Aptitude and Intelligence Test (TAIT) held in February/March 2023, although 216443 candidates appeared for it. These candidates and those appearing in the 2022 examination will be able to participate for the recruitment.
Through recruitment, teachers will be appointed to a total of 18,373 posts in most of the Marathi schools. After this, appointments will be made on 1850 posts in Urdu medium schools, 931 posts in English medium schools and 410 posts in Hindi medium schools. Apart from this, the remaining recruitments will be done in Tamil, Bengali and Telugu schools.
Let us tell you that there are a total of 35 Zilla Parishad schools in Maharashtra in which there are 12522 posts. There are 18 municipal schools in which there are 2951 posts. While there are 82 municipal council schools with 477 posts and 1,123 private schools with 5,728 posts.
