The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has extended the application date for Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) vacancies in the Uttar Pradesh Police till January 31. However, candidates can submit the application fee and make corrections to the application form by February 1. Candidates can apply online through the official website at uppbpb.gov.in.
Candidates from all categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 400 to process their applications. As per the selection process, candidates will be selected based on their performance in a Main examination, Physical Endurance Test (PET), Pre-Medical Test (PMT) and physical interview.
UP Police Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for UP police recruitment 2024 are given below.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between the ages of 18 years to 28 years, as of July 1, 2023. Upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed the Class 12 exam in physics and mathematics.
Candidates should also have completed the O-level examination in computers from the Department of Electronics Accredited in Computer and Communication (DOEACC) or should have completed a diploma in computer engineering, information technology or electronics engineering from the council of technical education, Uttar Pradesh.

This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 921 Sub Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) vacancies of which 268 are for the post of Sub-Inspector (Confidential) while 449 vacancies are for the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (Clerk) post and the other 204 vacancies are for the Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (Accounts) post.
