UP Police Bharti: The application process for Uttar Pradesh Police SI and ASI Recruitment 2024 will start from January 7. Application for this will have to be made by visiting the website of UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Police Recruitment Board has released the notification of 921 vacancies of SI and ASI. Under this, there will be recruitment for Police SI (Confidential), Police ASI (Clerk) and Police ASI (Accounts). The last date to apply for this recruitment is 28 January.
To get recruited for the post of SI and ASI in UP Police, it is necessary to be a graduate in any subject. For this the age should be between 21 to 28 years. Reserve category applicants will get relaxation in upper age limit as per government rules.
Physical Parameters
The height of male candidates of General, OBC and SC categories should be 163 cm and that of male candidates of ST category should be 156 cm. Chest size of men belonging to General, OBC and SC category should be 77 cm without expansion, 82 cm after expansion. Whereas the chest of male candidates of ST category should be 75 cm without expansion and 80 cm after expansion.
The height of women belonging to General, OBC and SC categories should be at least 150 cm. Whereas the height of women belonging to ST category should be 145 cm. Apart from this, the weight of female candidates of all categories must be at least 40 kg.

What is the purpose of DigiLocker in filling the form?
While applying for UP Police SI and ASI recruitment, documents have to be uploaded through DigiLocker. Only those documents have to be scanned and uploaded, which are not available on DigiLocker. Therefore, if you do not have the login and password of DigiLocker, then register on it. Actually, this time the initial verification of documents will be done through DigiLocker only.

While applying, photo and signature will have to be uploaded separately. The size of the color photo should not be less than 20 KB and more than 50 KB. The photo should be 35 mm by 45 mm. The face should occupy 70 percent of the photo. Also, it should not be more than six months old. The background in the photo should be white and light colored. If the applicant is wearing glasses then the eyes should be clearly visible. The photo should not be in a muffler or cap.
Rule Of Signature
The size of the photograph of the signature to be uploaded at the time of application should not be less than 5 KB and more than 20 KB. This should be done in black ink on a piece of paper 3.5 cm wide and 1.5 cm long. The photo file has to be scanned and uploaded in JPG, JPEG format.

How will the selection be done?
There will be written examination, document verification, physical criteria test, typing on computer and stenography test for recruitment to SI and ASI posts in UP Police. In this, typing and stenography test on computer will be qualifying. Final merit will be made on the basis of marks obtained in written examination.
