SBI CBO Exam 2024: State Bank will conduct Circle Based Officer Prelims on January 21, Admit Card soon


Big news for the candidates who have applied for SBI CBO Recruitment 2023. State Bank of India has announced the date of preliminary examination (SBI CBO Exam Date 2024) to be conducted in the first phase under the prescribed selection process for recruitment to more than 5 thousand posts of Circle Based Officer. According to the update released by the bank today i.e. Thursday, January 11, 2024, SBI will conduct CBO Prelims 2024 on January 21.

SBI CBO Exam 2024: Admit card soon

State Bank of India has also shared information regarding the announcement of the date of preliminary examination for the recruitment of divisional officers as well as the issuance of the admit card (SBI CBO Admit Card 2024) required to appear in it. As per the update of the bank, call letters for the applied candidates will be issued soon.

Candidates should note that the call letter (SBI CBO Prelims Admit Card 2024) will be released by the bank in online mode, the link to download will be activated in the career section of the official website of SBI, sbi.co.in. . Through this link, candidates will be able to download their admit card using their application number and date of birth.

After downloading the admit card, candidates should check their personal details given on it and if there is any error in it then immediately contact the helpline of the bank for correction.

Let us inform that SBI had started the application process from November 22 after issuing the notification in November for direct recruitment to 5,447 posts of Circle Based Officers in its circles created in various states across the country. Candidates had to submit their applications by 12th December 2023.

In the notification, State Bank of India had neither announced the date of preliminary examination nor the date of release of admit card. However, the bank has now announced the exam date (SBI CBO Exam Date 2024).

Selection Process

The selection process consists of Online Test, Screening and Interview.

(a) Online Test

The online test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be conducted immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

(i) Objective Test: The duration of the objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 sections of total of 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The duration of the Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. There is minimum qualifying marks on aggregate and the minimum qualifying marks will be as decided by the Bank.

(b) Screening

Online application and documents of candidates, who qualified in the online examination, will be placed before the Screening Committee.

(c) Interview

The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in the interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.

Final Selection

The candidates will have to qualify both in the Online Test and Interview separately. The marks obtained in the Online Test, both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in the Interview for preparing the final merit list. The final merit list would be prepared based on normalisation of marks scored in the Online Test and Interview with 75:25 weightage respectively.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
