UGC Jobs: Good news for students, there will be Lokpal in every university, recruitment will have to be done before 2024

The University Grants Commission has ordered all the universities to appoint an ombudsman. To listen to the problems of students and find solutions to them, it is mandatory to have an ombudsperson i.e. Lokpal in every university. UGC had given time till September 2023 for this (Ombudsperson Vacancy).

According to the report published in Indian Express, despite the instructions of UGC, till now only 584 out of 1090 universities have appointed Ombudsmen. Now the remaining universities have been given a new deadline of 31 December 2023. Everyone will have to compulsorily implement UGC rules during this period.

As per the instructions of UGC, if despite complaining, a student does not get any help from the Grievance Redressal Committee of the institute, then he can appeal before the Ombudsperson.
