UGC NET Syllabus: There will be changes in the syllabus of all 83 subjects of UGC NET exam, approval soon


UGC NET Syllabus:
University Grant Commission conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice a year. Lakhs of candidates participate in this exam. This examination is conducted to qualify for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor. This exam is conducted for a total of 83 subjects in which the syllabus is now being amended by the UGC. Approval in this regard has already been given by the UGC Council.

The UGC-NET is held twice every year, usually in June and December, in 83 subjects.

The UGC last initiated the process to update the syllabi of UGC-NET subjects in 2017.
"However, after launching the National Education Policy (NEP) in 2020, there have been considerable developments in higher education to impart multidisciplinary curricula and holistic education," Kumar said.
Kumar said that candidates will be given sufficient time before this new syllabus is introduced in UGC-NET so that the changeover happens smoothly.

"Therefore, in its meeting earlier this month, the commission decided that an exercise to update the syllabi of the subjects of UGC-NET may be undertaken. UGC will form an expert committee and undertake this exercise,” he said.

Syllabus will be amended under the new education policy (NEP 2020)
Now under the new education policy 2020, all 83 subjects will be amended by UGC. The syllabus for revision has been prepared and will be implemented after approval.

Candidates will be Given Time

Before the change in the syllabus of UGC NET exam, the candidates appearing in this exam will be provided enough time so that they can become familiar with it.

Amendment was not done for 6 years

The UGC NET syllabus was last revised in the year 2017, after which many changes have taken place in higher education. Due to these changes, the syllabus of UGC NET is also being changed.

For the information of the candidates, let us tell you that UGC NET exam is organized twice every year in which the first session exam is conducted in the month of June and the second session exam is conducted in the month of December.

UGC NET December 2023 exam will be held from December 6

UGC NET English paper will be held in the first shift on December 6 and History paper in the second shift on the same day. The commerce subject exam will be conducted on December 7 in shift 1 and the computer science and applications exam will be conducted on December 7 in shift 2. Public Administration and Philosophy examination will be conducted on December 8 in Shift 2. Political Science exam will be held on December 11 in Shift 1 and Hindi exam will be held on December 11 in Shift 2. NTA has said that the details of the exam city of the candidates will be released 10 days before the commencement of the examination. Candidates will be able to check it by visiting ugcnet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in
