The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the service preference form submission for its SSC CGL recruitment examination 2023.
Candidates who had qualified tier 1, had to submit their preference of posts/services on the official website by tomorrow, i.e November 21, 2023.
In their notice, the SSC stated "Before the declaration of final result, Option-cum-Preference(s) for post(s)/ department(s) are required to be submitted by those candidates who have appeared in Tier-II examination.
Accordingly, all candidates, who have appeared in Tier-II, are advised to submit their Option-cum-Preference for post(s)/ department(s) for CGLE-2023 through their respective ‘CANDIDATE LOGIN’ on the website of SSC (Headquarters) i.e., https://ssc.nic.in..."
However, the authority has now extended the deadline for submission of the forms owing to certain technical difficulties candidates were facing while submitting their preferences
“It is informed that due to a technical issue, options exercised by few candidates upto 20.11.2023 (12:00 PM) may have some error. Therefore, such candidates are advised to check the preferences filled by them and revise the same, if required..." the commission stated in their notice.
The window will now be open till November 23, 11:59PM.
Candidates failing to submit their post preference(s) on the Commission's website within the specified timeframe will not be included in the Final Result for any post. There will be no additional opportunity for these candidates to express preferences, and they will bear sole responsibility for this omission.
Follow the instructions step by step to fill in your preference of service for SSC CGL 2023:
Step 1: Visit the SSC Website
Go to the official website of SSC (Headquarters) at https://ssc.nic.in.
Step 2: Access Your 'CANDIDATE LOGIN' Log in to your candidate account using your credentials.
Step 3: Navigate to Post/Department Preferences Once logged in, find the section related to post/service preferences. This is usually located in your candidate dashboard.
Step 4: Select Tier-II Candidates
Ensure that you are selecting the preferences for Tier-II candidates.
Step 5: Submit Option-cum-Preference
Choose your preferred post(s) and department(s) by submitting your Option-cum-Preference.
Step 6: Verify Information
Double-check the information you entered to ensure accuracy.
Step 7: Save Your Preferences
Save your preferences to confirm your choices.
Step 8: Confirmation Message
Look for a confirmation message indicating that your preferences have been successfully submitted.
On September 19, 2023, the results of the SSC CGL 2023 Tier-I exams were released.
October 26, 2023–October 27, 2023 was when the Tier-II exam was administered, and on October 30th, the final answer key was released.
